Thousands of dollars of sporting equipment was stolen, including hockey gear belonging to the Sun Peaks Hockey League (SPHL), in a spate of storage locker robberies in Kamloops sometime during the night of July 9.
Mike Billheimer, SPHL organizer, is a partial-owner of one of the five storage lockers that were broken into and ransacked at Big Steel Box on Salish Road.
In addition to personal hockey equipment and a mountain bike, three hockey sticks belonging to the SPHL were also taken. All are either marked with the name “Mikey” or with SPHL branding,
