Kookaburra Lodge, Sun Peaks’ newest development, will hold its grand opening on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The long-awaited grand opening is an exciting time not only for Australian developer Jim Farrell and his team but also for the local businesses that have made Kookaburra Lodge their new home. This includes Re/Max Alpine Resort Realty, Sun Peaks Spa, and newcomer Globe Café and Tapas Bar.
Each business is pitching in to ensure the opening goes off with a bang. There’ll be food and wine at each business location plus live entertainment. Door prizes include spa treatments and products, a weekend getaway and tickets to the Wine Masters dinner at the Delta’s Winter Wine Festival.
“Globe will be serving champagne cocktails and tapas tasters, together with live music from up and coming singer/songwriter Jodi Pederson,” said Jude Brunt. Brunt co-owns Globe Café and Tapas Bar with Paul Doherty.
“We’re really excited to invite the resort community and guests in the village. It’s going to be very casual and we want to encourage everybody to come,” said Re/Max’s Lark Frolek-Dale. “Check out the lodge and the new businesses, not just ours. We’ll have a show suite available as well for the community and visitors to tour.”
