Kamloops Rural RCMP received a report on January 3 that a trailer containing a snowmobile had been stolen from the parking area at Valley Drive and Lookout Ridge at Sun Peaks.
The trailer with one sled remaining on it had been parked as owner took his second machine out for a ride at around 1:30 p.m. that day. When he returned at 4:50 p.m. the sled trailer and snowmobile were missing. The trailer was a Karavan Sled Deck and the sled was a 2009 Skidoo Summit XP valued at $7,000.
Police are continuing to investigate the matter and report that the owner’s friend located the trailer minus the sled on Upper Louis Creek Road on January 8, 2013. It appears the sled was loaded onto another vehicle. Police continue to look into the matter.
