The City of Kamloops will be conducting a road improvement project in Heffley Creek on Tod Mountain Road between Old Highway 5 and city limits starting on July 27.

Tod Mountain Rd. into Heffley Creek will become much more smooth to drive on after work is completed for the City of Kamloops.
BA Dawson Blacktop Ltd. has been contracted by the city to remove the existing asphalt and repave the road.
Residents are advised the road work could last the rest of the summer and is scheduled from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Potential impacts outlined by the city include increased truck traffic, dust, and noise disruption caused by various equipment such as vibratory compaction equipment. Garbage collection will not be affected by the project.
The driveways of businesses and residents will be maintained throughout the construction but could be temporarily limited at times when equipment moves through traffic.
Single alternating traffic will be a regular occurrence, and the city asks drivers to respect speed zones and other traffic control measures such as flag persons.
