Drivers leaving Sun Peaks after the final day of operations at Sun Peaks Resort may have faced trouble leaving the mountain due to a two-vehicle collision April 7.
According to Crystal Evelyn, media relations officer for Kamloops RCMP, the accident occurred around 3:05 p.m. at the intersection at Heffley Creek near the Heffley Creek Store.
The RCMP report found a white car inside the intersection was struck by a black truck and one occupant was initially trapped in her vehicle.
“The driver of the white car was initially trapped inside the vehicle; she was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries,” Evelyn shared in an email.
The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
