The Whitecroft Community Association is hosting a family softball game at the Dick Hart Park on Sun., June 26 from 4 p.m. onwards.
The event is open to all families in the area, and it doesn’t matter whether or not you’ve played softball before. The goal is to have an activity open to everyone, whether young or old.
“You don’t have to have played before,” said Avril Brock, Whitecroft Community Association chair, adding that even children as young as four can have a try. “Just come bring your children and we’ll let the children play as well as the adults.”
Tickets to the event cost $3 per person or $10 for families of four or more. The ticket is good for a hotdog, salad, beverage and dessert.
Brock reiterates that this is not a fundraising event. “All we’re hoping to do is cover the cost of food.”
For tickets, contact Avril (250-434-8962) or Wilf (250-578-2083).
