Sun Peaks Community Helps (SPCH), a group formed by residents and Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality to help the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, is asking for food donations.

The group has started a ‘food cupboard’ which will collect donations of food staples to be shared with those who need assistance.

“SPCH will be working with local suppliers and is planning to stock bakery, dairy, staples (pasta, soup) and some fresh fruit and veggies,” reads a post on their Facebook page.

Pickup will be by appointment only.

Donations of food will be accepted Monday April 6 between 12 and 2 p.m. at the food cupboard location at #7 1240 Alpine Road (Peaks West). SPCH is also accepting financial donations.
