The next big gig revealed

 | July 15, 2012

After months of anticipation, the name of the next big band to visit Sun Peaks was revealed during the Kevin Costner and Modern West concert.

Matthew Good will be taking centre stage on the last big weekend of the summer, September 1.

Good is a multi-platinum recording artist whose career has spanned nearly two decades. With nine studio album LP’s, three EP’s and a live album, Good has built a solid reputation and is a household name in Canadian music.

He was the lead singer for the folk band the Rodchester Kings before stepping up to the mic for the Matthew Good Band, one of Canada’s most successful alternative rock bands of the 1990s.

In 2003 Good launched his debut solo album. Today he plays both solo acoustic shows and rock shows with the Matthew Good Band.

Also known for his tireless work in raising awareness for mental health issues, Good has been an active blogger against subjects such as US foreign policy, Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan and human rights.
The free Sun Peaks show will be a solo acoustic act by the famed alt-rock artist.
